Suggested Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Gonggar airport. Transfer to Lhasa
The flights to Gonggar Airport, Lhasa are easily available from various mainland cities (Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, etc.,) in China. Arrive at Gonggar Airport where the professional guide welcomes you. Then, transfers you to hotels in Lhasa via a private vehicle. Enjoy a scenic ride 1.5-2 hour ride. Upon arriving at the hotel, rest and relax. The elevation of Lhasa is high, so we suggest you acclimatize properly and adjust to the surroundings. Wear comfortable warm clothes, keep yourself hydrated, and eat healthy but light.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Lhasa (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Bazaar)
The second day in Lhasa commences with sightseeing of UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites after breakfast. Make sure to wear appropriate clothes while visiting these sites. Explore the majestic landmarks of the grand Potala Palace and its aesthetic architecture. The most popular Buddhist temple of Jokhang is a spiritual center for Tibetans. Jokhang temple with its bronze roof, statues of golden deer, and the gold statue of Jowo Rinpoche is mesmerizing. Barkhor Street in the vicinity is popular for buying Tibetan original goods and crafts. Optional: In the evening, attend the Tibetan Family Kitchen class between 4:30 pm to 8 pm. Here, shop the groceries, prepare Tibetan authentic dishes, dine, and enjoy with family and friends. (After tour, we will take a group to the Tibetan Family Kitchen class. Dinner and Tibetan Traditional clothes with Tibetan family)
Day 3: Sightseeing of Drepung, Sera Monasteries & Norbulingka Palace
Day 4: Drive to Shigatse via Lake Yamdrok Lake and Gyantse Visit Kumbum Monastery, Pelkor Chöde Monastery, and drive to Shigatse
Day 5: Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, and drive to Shegar
Day 6: Early morning drive to Rongbuk (Everest base camp), and drive back to Shigatse.
Day 7: Drive to Namtso Lake (Damxung Town)
Day 8: Drive Namtso Lake to Lhasa
Day 9: Drive to the airport and fly to Kathmandu, Short tour of Kathmandu (Pashupati & Boudha Stupa)
Day 10: Kathmandu sightseeing (Swoyambhunath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Changunarayan

Rongbuk Monastery (Everest Base Camp)
Rongbuk Monastery (5,009m) which was built in 1902 is one of the highest-situated monasteries close to the Northern Everest Base Camp. Adore the northern face of Mt. Everest and a great sunrise view over the mountains is enchanting. Rongbuk is a stopover destination for travelers to get an amazing sight of glorious Mt. Everest. Travelers with limited time and finding it difficult to trek to the Everest Base Camp can relish the awesome up-close views of Everest and surrounding peaks from here. We suggest travelers get prepared for cold temperatures, high altitudes, and limited amenities.
Namtso Lake, Tibet
The second-largest salt lake in China Namtso translates as 'The Heavenly' in the Tibetan Language. At an elevation of 4,718 meters, it expands to more than 1,900 sq. km of area. Namtso Lake was also a practicing spot of Estoric Buddhism in the early 2nd century. It is believed that walking and pattering around this lake only once a year is very sacred and fruitful. Thus, this crystal clear lake is considered holy, and numerous pilgrims visit this lake to admire nature and share their dedication and spirituality.
Pokhara, Nepal
Pokhara is a tourist hub of Nepal popular for its natural scenery, snow-mountain vistas, sunrise views, lakeside, and adventurous activities like boating, paragliding, hot air balloon rides, etc. The place is a perfect blend of culture and nature attracting numerous travelers annually. Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is the first national park of Nepal which is famous for the One-horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, and Gharial along with diverse flora and fauna in the vicinity. Jungle Safari by Jeep or Elephant, Jungle walks, Canoeing rides, and Bird-watching are the popular activities here. The sunset views at the bank of the river are a relaxing activity for travelers, especially nature enthusiasts. Tharu natives, their culture, and authentic Tharu villages are another attraction in the vicinity of the national park.
Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of 1,425 m is surrounded by four mountain ranges Shivapuri (Nagarjuna), Phulchowki, Champadevi, and Chandragiri. Kathmandu Valley is comprised of 3 districts Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. The Valley is a popular tourist hub due to its aesthetic architecture, several historical and cultural heritages, and various vibrant jatras (festivals). In the year 1979, Kathmandu Valley was bestowed the status of a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It includes 7 World Heritage Sites which are Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, and Changu Narayan Temple.
Lhasa, Tibet
The administrative capital of Tibet, Lhasa is nestled at an elevation of 3,656 m. It is one of the highest-elevated cities in the world. Lhasa has numerous landmarks including UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites. Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka Palace, and Barkhor Street are prime attractions.
Shigatse, Tibet
Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet is China’s prefecture-level city. It is officially known as Xigazê located at the confluence of Yarlung Tsangpo and Nyainchu River. The world’s largest gilded Qamba Buddha bronze statue in Tashilhunpo Monastery and Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles in Shalu Monastery are prime attractions in Shigatse.
Gyantse, Tibet
The third largest city Gyantse in Tibet lies in the Nyang Chu Valley surrounded by vast farms. Pelkor Chöde Monastery, Gyantse Kumbum, and Yamdrok Lake are beautiful phenomena to explore in Gyantse. The multi-storied Kumbum is the largest stupa in Tibet. Yamdrok is a freshwater sacred lake. The Pelkor Chöde Monastery is a combination of Han, Tibetan, and Nepali architecture.

High season (Best Time) May to September months are the high seasons in Tibet with an average temperature ranging between 6°C to 23°C. The weather is mild and warm during May, summer rains in June, occasional rains in August, and pleasant and cool weather in September. Shoulder season (Good Time) April, October, and November months are shoulder seasons in Tibet with cool, dry, and pleasant weather. The average temperature ranges between -2°C to 17°C in April and October and -7°C to 12°C in November. Low or Off-season (Average Time) December to January months are low or off-season in Tibet where the temperature ranges between -12°C to 14°C. The day's weather gets colder and at night, the weather gets very colder and experiences snowfalls. But the sky is cleareroffering awesome scenic beauty. (Note: In the months of February and March, Tibet is closed to foreign tourists.)
